Over 25 years' experience

Max is Group Operations Director for Marlborough. He has more than 25 years’ experience in the investment industry and holds a master’s degree in finance from SOAS University and in management from Bocconi University in Milan, Italy. Max joined the Marlborough Group in 2022, initially serving as Chief Risk Officer before being appointed Group Operations Director in January 2026. Before joining Marlborough, he spent more than 11 years at Architas, where he was latterly Global Head of Risk. He has played an active role in industry-wide initiatives and since 2024 has been a member of the Enterprise Risk Committee of the Investment Association (IA). He previously served on the IA’s Sector Committee from 2015 to 2020.
